Do you ever wonder why some days seem to feel better than others? A morning routine with healthy habits sets the tone for the rest of the day, helping you get organized, stay focused and be at the top of your game.
Here are some tips as to how to set the tone for your day:
Don’t hit the snooze button. While it may be tempting to sleep a bit longer research shows there are minimal gains by snoozing in the morning. Set your alarm and stick to it.
Allow time in the morning. Highly successful people swear by starting the day off with extra time. Sit down and enjoy your cup of coffee. Make time to meditate or set your intentions for the day. Rushing out the door leads to a stressful day.
Exercise. If you don’t have time for a full workout before your commitments for the day take a few minutes to do some stretching or push ups and crunches to get your blood pumping.
Plan for a productive day. Make your list for the day and prioritize what you need to get done. Plan plan plan!
Breathe. Spend five minutes breathing in deeply through your nose and exhaling completely from your mouth. Quiet your mind, relax and focus.
Eat a healthy breakfast. Start your day with a nutritionally sound breakfast to energize and sustain you.
